With the research done, each group created a proposal for visualizing and illustrating their ideas.

A Google Drive folder was shared with the entire class where groups could fill a portfolio with images that inspired them, post photos of archival articles they read, and put their proposals for all other students to see.

A class day was devoted to sharing these proposals and making each group familiar with the ideas of the other groups. To do so, members of each group mingled with members from the other groups. In doing so, students were able to see where their ideas overlapped, where they related, and where they differed.

Because the mural is a collaborative effort, communication between groups was essential.

These conversations proved to be very productive, allowing groups to see how they could merge their ideas together and connect their panels. The stage was set for some sketching to begin!
