Please wish the greatest woman I know a feliz cumpleaños today... if I get this post up in time and it's still September 7th, that is.

Today was an incredible day. I went to the kinesiologist and my Achilles has definitely improved over the last week so I'm hoping this lasts! I went to IFSA after my appointment and filled out some paperwork. Then I went to the little plaza across from El obelisco and unintentionally fell asleep!!! I literally fell asleep in the middle of one of the world's widest avenues. I am talented.

When I woke up, I decided it was probably better to go home and sleep in my bed. So I came home and tried to nap but my host mom came home and had a friend over so I couldn't really sleep.

So I got out of bed, made myself lunch, and started some homework. I was shocked when I found out that my assignment for one class was only 20 pages of reading!!! We always have so much to read and this was such a fricking relief. Also saves me like 6 hours of free time that I can now spend doing fun things this weekend!

After lunch, I continued to read until I finished the assignment and I caught up with a friend. Then Clarese Nieusma texted me and oh what a coincidence I was just about to text that B too. So we facetimed and that was fun as always. Poor gal almost burned her sweet potato fries but don't worry, she remembered they were in the oven before it was too late. After talking with Claire, I cooked myself a scrambled egg with onion. I was wondering where my host mom was cuz she had left 6 hours ago to get a haircut... turns out the haircut took 6 hours!! When she got home at 9:30 she told me should would start dinner but I was leaving by then anyway so I said chau chau.

My classmate, and friend now too I guess, Loli (short for Dolores) invited me to go out with her and her friends and it was SO FUN. And get this -- it was on the same exact block as my new house!!!!! Literally 50 feet away! That was definitely a sign that moving is the right thing to do. Going out will be so much more convenient! I won't have to walk 30 minutes to get there and then pay $4 to Uber home. I know that's not horrible but still, the convenience will be such a great advantage.

Loli's friends were so nice and very interesting. They're all from the same city in La Pampa which is a provincia about 8 hours from here. In the first photo from top to bottom going left to right their names are Vicki, July (Julianna), Sofia, Julie (my fellow American friend), Angie, Loli, and me in the corner. The girl I talked to the most is not visible in the photo but her name is Vicki also. It was so fun to talk to them and at one point, one of the Vicki's asked me: "Soo... qué te parece Trump?" I said I hate him. I love how they ask such straightforward questions... it led to a very interesting conversation about politics here and in the US.

After the bar, we went to get ice cream at the same place I went to yesterday and I got flan con dulce de leche and vainilla con pecan again. The best ice cream ever, really.

Hope you all had equally great days. Goodnight readers and goodnight moon.
