I accidentally posted earlier today, so sorry if you received an email... false alert.

Today was productive overall. I woke up and ate a big breakfast and then headed to the kinesiologist. I stopped at an ATM to get cash to pay for the appointments and the fee had raised 29 pesos! Inflation is really jacking up this country, but it's interesting to be "living" through this economic depression. I'm lucky that it doesn't really affect me (if anything it benefits me immensely), but I still see how it affects so many things here on a daily basis. For example, they write the prices down in pencil in menus here because they change so often with the inflation.

Anyway, kinesiologist was good. I love the security guard that lets me up to Juan's office because he recognizes me now and we are homies. Every time I come he says "Juuuulia Juuuulia." I think I'll buy him an alfajor. On the street where Juan works, there's a ton of people that just stand around and say, "cambio... casa de cambio," and they're trying to get you to exchange dollars for pesos but it's super sketchy and just kind of weird. When I walked past one of them today, he specifically said to me, "cambio... change dollars," as if I did not understand Spanish. Clearly it is so apparent that I am American.

I headed to IFSA after to get some work done that was due at my 5pm class. I facetimed Garnet Elise Brown while at IFSA and boi did she have some news to share. Look at my bootiful friend! (And yes I put a monkey over my face cuz I was not looking fresh.)

I continued to work until lunch and then bought the lunch pictured below for $2.39!!! Desserts were 2 for 1 so naturally I had to get 2.

For those of you thinking there's poop on top of my dessert, you're wrong. It is dulce de leche. I continued to read during lunch and then eventually walked 8 minutes to class.

HoLy CrAp did class go by slow as hell. We had a "substitute" of sorts since our regular teacher had surgery and oh my god she talked so fricking slow and would take the longest pauses in her lecture that I would forget what she was talking about and essentially be very confused the entire time. Great news is I don't have to go to that close for another 162 hours AND I'm 1/3 of the way done with it!!!

After class I came home and worked out and relaxed. Dinner was some sort of lentil stew which sounds disgusting but it smacked. She gave me some steak too. I tried to change my Davidson email password cuz they require us to change it every few months and I got locked out of the system because I entered my birth date incorrectly too many times... um I think I know when I was born, guys. I also forgot my Davidson ID # so I guess that's a sign that I've been abroad for quite a while! Sue came to the rescue and sent it to me though. Bless that angel of a woman she is.

Now I'm just going to read a little bit and then head to sleep. Oh and I might facetime my mama. I haven't been able to fall asleep for almost the past week sooooo really hoping I fall asleep easily tonight.

P.S. - I reached out to the family I visited yesterday and thanked them but told them I decided against moving in with them due to the fact that it is so far away from my friends and I would still feel isolated. Next house visit: Thursday!
