Today was quite adventurous and full of good times!

I woke up and ate a yummy breakfast as usual. I then headed to the subte to get to my kinesiology appointment. In one of the coolest coincidences, I was walking down the stairs to the subway at the same time as this guy, Philip, from Germany, who I met at the Es tu día event last Sunday! We were both going to the same stop so we talked the whole train ride and it was one of those "woah small world" moments. He was en route to go to Uruguay with his girlfriend!

After my appointment, I went to IFSA and essentially did nothing but kind of organized my mental space lol. Then I walked to Mario's apartment for our group meeting. Mario is the director of IFSA and the sexiest, most mysterious 76 year old man you'll ever meet. Too bad he is taken.

Mario fed us bruschetta an agnolotti pasta (you bet your butt I just googled "types of pasta" and scrolled through 5 separate charts to find out which kind it was... the things I do for my blog subscribers) and it was AMAZING. It came with 3 sauces: one regular red one, one white one - maybe alfredo - and one pesto sauce. Me muero. I was stuffed like no other but his servant lady brought out a thicc platter of little desserts and the rest is history. The kids in the group were so awkward about eating the desserts but I proudly ate 6 of them. Heh heh I'm a record setter. I would've taken a pic of the food but I felt weird doing that... just kidding my phone was in the other room and I didn't want to be that extra. But my thoughts were extra, don't you doubt it.
The purpose of the meeting was just for Mario to get a gauge on our experience so far now that we should be pretty settled in. When it was my turn to speak to my experience, I mentioned that moving has immensely improved my experience. He said that throughout my moving process / decision, he could see how self-aware I was and how I was transforming and how I learned a bit about negocio. He said life is a negocio. I was flattered by his words. He also said the woman I was living with is "LOCA!" and I was like, look, I wasn't gonna say it... but since you did...
After Mario's, Julie and I took the subte to el Jardín Botánico and it was sooooooo freaking beautiful. I felt like I was in some freaky nature kingdom where fairies live. And it's only 6 blocks from my house!!! I will definitely be back. I fell asleep on the grass and then a man told me to get up cuz apparently you can't sleep there lol but it was peaceful while it lasted. These photos do not do it justice, but flip through them to see!
I walked home from the garden and essentially wasted the next 4 hours of my life. I kind of just putzed around and napped. Oh and of course I facetimed Clarese. So I wasted 4 hours minus however long I talked to her for. What's your opinion on couples cutting each other's toenails?? Let me know, cuz Claire and I aren't the biggest fans.

I woke up from my nap and went downstairs to do some reading while Clarisa finished up teaching a student. We then ate dinner together - more pasta - and it was delish. We talked about our days and my weekend plans. The book I'm reading for class takes place during the dictadura militar so I asked her about it and she said she remembers it and that it was horrible. Men couldn't have long hair... you couldn't go out and meet friends on the street. Many innocent people were killed. It's so insane that that happened (and still happens) and that she lived it. I've been to the exact places in the city where so many of these things happened. It's kind of surreal.

After cena, I worked out and facetimed my ~beautiful~ parents. Just look at them! Attractive, joyous humans.
I'm excited to go to bed early tonight (well it's currently 12:02am...) and have a productive day tomorrow! I'm going to run in the morning and that always starts my day off well so looking forward to that.
I might just mess around and sleep with my window open tonight cuz it's kinda cool and mysterious to do that, so also excited for that. Hope you're all having marvelous days.

P.S. - Here is my ice cream from last night. Vanilla with pecans and the second scoop is called Nucciolla and I have no idea what that means but it was hazelnut and possessed an ungodly amount of swag. And if you think those 2 spoons mean I shared it with someone you're right - I shared it with me, myself, and I.
