October 9, 2018: Feeding myself one raisin per minute

Sometimes it's the only method to make a 3 hour class go by faster...

Today was a fairly productive day and I'm happy about that. I woke up semi-early and, instead of doing work like I had planned, I did just about anything else. I read up on Salta, a city I might visit in a few weeks, made myself breakfast, and decided to work out. At about 12:30pm, I went to the plaza on the corner of my street to just pass the time. I brought some notes to read but I passed most of my time just sitting (and later laying) in the sun.
Sometimes I wonder if I should be doing more with my time here, but then I think, What's the rush? As long as I'm getting done what I need to do, there's no need to exhaust myself doing other things just because I feel like I am supposed to be doing something else.

Around 2:00pm, I started to walk home but I stopped at the same cute shop Cassie and I went to the other day. Sadly, their spring collection wasn't as cute as their winter collection. But perhaps that isn't sad because my wallet didn't suffer.
I then walked home and made myself pasta for lunch (plus I ate a slice of bread and some crackers). Then I walked to the lavadero to pick up my laundry. This was my first experience with them where they messed up but it wasn't too bad. They lost one sock but gave me one sock that wasn't mine so guess I didn't really lose anything... except the fact that the pair doesn't match now.
I left for class around 3:20pm and it was one of those perfectly timed trips. I hopped on the train just as it was about to leave the station, by chance I was on the train car closest to where I would need to transfer, hopped on the second train also just as it was leaving the station, and for the first time used the underground tunnel to cross the massive avenue instead of doing it above ground which always takes at least 3 minutes. I arrived to class exactly on time. It's the little things like this that you just gotta love.

Class honestly could not have gone by slower. Honestly could not have. The teacher really had the audacity to use all 3 hours to teach and I just couldn't believe that. You'll see above that I let myself eat one piece of my trail mix each minute to try to make the time go by faster. If anything, that did not help at all. But at least I wasn't hungry...
When I got home, I changed and went for a run with Cassandra. We decided to change up our route and run south which was pretty fun cuz we got to run past all the bars and shops. People here go hard even on the Tuesday nights!! It's inspiring.

After my run, I showered because Clarisa joked that she wanted me "limpita" lol and then we devoured some delicious pizza for dinner. OMG I discovered that I love black olives tonight!!! Trust me people, I know they look gross but they are delicious. Read up on their health benefits, too! https://www.google.com.ar/search?q=are+olives+good+for+you&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS705US705&oq=are+olives+good+for+you&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.2621j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Dinner was nice because it was our first time being reunited and I got to tell her about Córdoba while she told me about her visit to her daughter in El Bolsón!
After dinner, I did an assignment that I should have done a while ago... oops... but I'm happy to have it finished! Overall, today was productive but also very relaxing. I'm pretty lucky to have the time to both relax and be productive!
In the words of Claire Nieusma, good night.
