She was shaking that thang.

It's 1:05am and I'm tired as fudge so excuse the poor quality of this post. I woke up for my run with Cassie but the poor gal kept fading in and out of sleep so I go'ed it alone. The run was surprisingly good and I passed through Rosedal with the roses in full bloom. Two people smiled at me on my cool-down walk! That's a record. People here literally don't smile... ask my mom. It was the first observation she had about the people of Buenos Aires.

After my run, I rushed to eat breakfast and get ready to go work on my parter paper with Julie. We have to write a 20-25 page paper together and are not thrilled about it. But today we started it and already have 3 pages!!! We realized that it might not be as hard as we thought it was so that is swag sauce on swag sauce. We worked in a cafe between our houses and it had a full size mirror and you know what that means.

I then went home to eat a late lunch / early dinner before the Shakira concert and to continue working on the paper. HA that didn't happen. But my beans were tasty. Haven't farted that much either today, I think that's a myth that beans make ya toot.

Around 5:45pm, I left to walk to Julie's apartment, and from there we walked to Devin's apartment where we met up with Devin and Gio. We all ubered to the concert and then had to wait in a half mile long line to get in... um... inefficient. But we finally got in around 8:10pm, 10 minutes after Shakira was scheduled to start, and staked our spot (we were in the standing section). Well, turns out we could've showed up 1.5 hours late and not missed a thing. She didn't come on until 9:45pm but oh baby the wait was worth it.

Someone let me know why Shakira is 41 years old and SO motherfreaking sexy. And honestly, her butt is perfect. She was shakin' what her mama gave her and she knew it too. The camera people kept zooming in solely on her butt and we weren't mad about it.

She played a ton of old songs and I realized there's a lot of Shakira music I don't really know... but all of it was good! And it was awesome that my first concert for a native Spanish speaker was in a Spanish speaking country!!!

She definitely put on a good show... her dancing was just as entertaining to watch as her singing. I imagine a show in her home country of Colombia would be insane. Ugh. She is bae.

The concert ended around 11:20pm and then we iiiiinnnnncccchhhheeeeedddd out of the stadium. There was one tiny exit door for all the people in the standing section... good thing there wasn't a fire during the concert cuz we would've all been dead within seconds! Mmm crispy!

Julia and I took the 34 colectivo home and Devin and Gio took an Uber. We were worried we would be stuck in traffic forever but we got home shockingly fast. It is worth it to mention, however, that our bus driver was incredibly unsafe. He was out here honking at EVERYONE and flying down the streets (I don't even think they have speed limits here but if they do he was well over them), but I think my manz was just trying to get us all home as fast as possible so thank you for that, sir.

I got home and ate cold rice out of a Tupperware with my bare hand and then poured my a bowl of yogurt and put some cereal pieces in it. I ate this with a spoon though - not my hand. I'm not a complete animal.

Shakira blows you all kisses goodnight.
