Keep reading to find out how a creepy man ruined my afternoon rest session in a garden!

Hi there I'm Julita and I showered 4 hours after having run cuz I'm a filthy little termite like that.

I woke up after a night of poor sleep with 3 bug bites on my face... how pleasant! Cassie and I went for a run and it is an understatement to say I was not feeling it. Thunder thighs galore. But we finished it and it was a nice way to start the day. I finally had a bit of an appetite today so I ate breakfast upon getting home and then (did not shower but instead) took a nap. I slept for about an hour and then listened to the Earl Nightingale audio for a few minutes while I put my legs up against the wall and drained that nasty stuff out of them.

Around 2:00pm I decided to make lunch, this time with the ingredients I bought with my momma at the store! Except there was one problem... I couldn't find the abrelatas (can opener). Turns out, I did find it but I had no idea it was a can opener because it looked like this:

Cassie came to my rescue because I walked around the corner to her apartment and her host mom helped me open the cans with her can opener. Uhhhh k, their can openers are WAY harder to use than ours. That is some serious manual labor. Also, they are designed for right-handed people so... I struggled! But moral of the story is I finally opened my cans and made this beautiful sweet potato + bean dish:

After lunch, I had some free time before class so I decided to go rest in the sun in the Jardín Botánico for about 20 minutes. So there I am, resting on a bench with my eyes closed, when a man walks by and tells me to have a good day. Ok lol thanks sir. But then he goes and stands a few meters away and eyes me in a way that I am anything but okay with. He approaches me again, starts talking to me about random crap and then says it was nice to meet me and "te saludo" which means he wanted to say goodbye. Well they say goodbye here by kissing on the cheek and I did NOT want this. But he was already quickly approaching me and leaning on the bench and I turned my face very much to the side and he kissed my cheek FAR too close to my lips and grabbed my face / head in a disturbing manner. I was so shooken up and uncomfortable. I then saw him talking to the girl on the bench next to my bench trying to pull some more stupid crap with her. Then he disappeared. I was spooked beyond belief but swiftly got out of there and got on the subway to go to class. I've really learned the lesson now: do not talk to strangers in Buenos Aires. It sounds dramatic when people warn you of this but it's for reasons like this that they do.

UBA has some type of election this week so when I walked into the building literally hundreds of people were trying to hand me flyers and talk to me and walk with me and I was like absolutely not fam.

Class lasted a lifetime and I'm honestly so over it. I wouldn't say I regret taking a class at UBA but I think I could've enjoyed another class more and not to mention, learned more. I went home with one of the French girls in my class who lives 2 blocks away and that was cool, I like her.

I got home around 7:30pm and relaxed in bed until dinner at 9:00pm. That class made me super tired and without energy to do anything. Dinner was bomb and Clarisa and I gossiped about boys for the majority of it and I sure loved that.

I'm still feeling pretty tired so I might call the night quits now, but as we all know I might also stay up another hour watching food videos... we'll see where the night takes me.

Song Recommendation of the Day: "Ladders" by Mac Miller (give it a sec... it gets better throughout the song)

P.S. - When I was walking to class, the boy walking directly in front of me stopped abruptly and pivoted and almost slammed into me and we were like eek and then continued walking in opposite directions and then I looked back about 10 seconds later and he looked back then too and we made eye contact and laughed and maybe one day we'll be married HAHAHA just kidding but it was a funny moment
