But migraciones was about 1,000x worse than the DMV. Talk about in-e-ffi-cien-cy.

One hour into the waiting process.

The roosters - just kidding, my alarm - woke me up bright n early at the fine hour of 7:30am today. My appointment to obtain my visa wasn't until 12:00pm, but Julie and I decided to play the system and go early because we feared that history would repeat itself and we would be sent home without a visa like the poor poor kids in our program who tried to go yesterday. Julie surprised me with a factura which was so kind of her and I devoured it about one hour into the four that we ended up spending there.

We each received a number for the second part of our appointment and Julie was 31 and I was 33. The screen was on #14 when we arrived and we had to wait THREE HOURS until it was finally our turn. Of course they took a lunch break right after number 32 so that I had to wait even longer... oh well. Julie and I were both so happy to finally have our visas because this means we can finally travel outside of the country and travel during the week. Plus we are now considered Argentine residents so that is kewl. I was also able to finish two homework assignments during the wait so call me Productive Pam if you will.

We walked straight from migraciones to lunch. And holy baby jesus this lunch was BALLER. It's a place called Core where you go and pick your type of noodle and your sauce and it's only 160 pesos (exactly $4)! I chose rigatoni - mi favorito - with pesto sauce. We went and sat in the cute little upstairs area and ate / got some work done.

After lunch, we hopped on the subte to get to class and then struggled to stay awake throughout it. We were both exhausted from the residencia process earlier, but, more importantly, the class discussion was incredibly boring. We kept looking at each other throughout class like get me out of here.

When I got home, I organized some things quickly and then headed out to go on a run with Julie. We both felt bloated AF after that pasta so we ran 3 miles together. It was kind of cool to run around at nighttime (don't worry mother, I would never do it alone and it was only 7:30pm and we ran in safe, populated area) and I'm glad we did.

Happy to report the shower was working today so I am a crispy clean gal. I sent some emails and did some planning and then ate dindin with Clarisa. There's no way in heck I do any homework tonight. I'm exhausted. Luckily one of my classes for tomorrow was canceled!!! So I only have one! But sad cuz my professor is sick :(

Sweet dreams, turds.
