And Randi's birthday!!!!!! She finally made it to the start of the 3rd decade of her life.

I woke up early in the name of being productive and starting working on my essay. I was able to finish a section surprisingly quickly and then I ate breakfast. I swear the bananas are better here... I'm gonna miss em.

I resumed work on the essay and planned to go play basketball with Duncan at 12:00pm. He had to reschedule for 6:00pm at the last minute because he forgot he had to go to a study group. So I continued working on the essay and then eventually went for a run with Cassie around 1:15pm. She had to get to class at 3:00pm so we ran just over 2.5 miles together and then I kept going after she got home.

When I finished, I continued working on the essay and then made myself an interesting lunch... I tried to make my own hummus by just smooshing a bunch of chickpeas but that didn't really work. It tasted alright though! Duncan ended up canceling completely on basketball... which sucks... but I think we are going to play tomorrow. I felt bad I wouldn't be exercising more today so I ran 1 more mile.

At 4:00pm, I headed to the classic Cafe Martínez to finish the essay with Julie. My eyes have itched as bad as they itched today. I'm pretty sure it's just alergias but they are SO intense. My entire eyelid and under eye was red from rubbing them so much. But I powered through and we finished all of the writing of our essay - 27 pages!!! We need to add in all the citations and revise it tomorrow, but the hard part is over.

When I got home from working on the essay, a wave of fatigue hit me and I took a 1.5 hour nap. They say a sleep cycle lasts 90 minutes but clearly that is false because I woke up in the climax of my dream and did not feel well-rested at all. I also thought it was morning and was thinking about what to eat for breakfast. #disoriented

It was time for dinner when I woke up and Clarisa had made some delicious pasta. I ate an apple with dulce de leche afterwards and insisted that Clarisa try my dulce de leche. She loved it and even said, "It is orgasmic." I thought it, she said it.

I went for a brief walk by myself because my head felt a little foggy, and then I went out to a bar with Cassie around 10:45pm. We were supposed to meet our friends but they bailed last minute. Thank you, dependable amigos. It was still a really nice time though. Cassie enjoyed her drink and I enjoyed eating all of the peanuts that came with it.

I was wearing workout leggings and a sweatshirt and decided I should dress nicer to make myself feel better... it worked!

We decided to #freegan hunt afterwards because tons of people were out tonight, but we were without success. (The day was not a failure however, we got another 4 rolls of bread on the run... trying to limit carbs though so I gave 1 of my 2 pieces to Clarisa.) We saw a family of 4 with 2 donuts just sitting on their table neglected and untouched. We decided to stake out across the street from them and wait for them to leave. The plan was going so well, they weren't even acknowledging the donuts' existence, but just after they paid the bill and packed up to leave, the mom grabbed the 2 donuts at the last second. That stung. Really thought we had it in the bag. But I applaud our effort.

Goodnight homies.
