Today was filled with lots of good little things... solid 10/10 day.

I stayed up until 2:00am this morning because I could not stop reading my book, Sit! Stay! Speak! It's so good! I decided it was probably time to go to bed though so I did. I woke up just before 11:00am and ate some breakfast. I then went to the park and finished the remaining 60 pages of my book. It was a lovely day out but quite hot so I sat in the shade and read until I finished.

I had about 15 minutes before I had to leave to go eat lunch with Julie. We went to the crepe place and it was incredible yet again... sadly no #freegan crepes this time though.

We both ordered the savory crepe with goat cheese, grilled butternut squash, arugula, and some kind of cheesy spread, and then we split a Nutella crepe with strawberries, bananas, coconut, and almonds inside. Truly amazing.

After lunch, we headed to UBA to do the oral defense of our paper. When I got there, I finally recycled a massive stack of papers I had (there are hardly any recycling bins in the city, it's not really a thing here) and I'm glad I was able to recycle them.

Julie and I didn't really know what to expect but the defense ended up going extremely well. The professors were so kind and showed sincere interest in our lives in Buenos Aires and they were rather kind and generous with the grade they gave us in the class so I am very happy about that. We left the meeting feeling extremely happy and also proud! My semester is OFFICIALLY over now. #weoutchea

When I got home, I relaxed for about an hour and then got ready to go on a run. I did a workout today and it went very well. There were more serious looking runners at the park than usual today... normally there's tons of people casually jogging, but it seemed like a lot of runners were training intensely there today. It was a warm and very pleasant night out so maybe that's why. One archway of trees that I always run through is so beautiful now that the leaves / flowers have turned light purple and all the petals cover the path.

When I got home, I was chugging water and Clarisa informed me that all flights were cancelled starting on November 29 through December 1 because of the G20 Summit in Argentina. I panicked because Adam and I have a flight on the 29th, but it turns out it goes into effect at 3:00pm and we fly at 12:15pm... thank the lawd.

I stretched and showered and then we ate dinner together. Somehow we began talking about death and Clarisa told me she's ready to die at any moment. I said, "CLARISA!!!" but she just meant that she's happy with the life she's lived so far and that she isn't afraid of death. She said there's always gonna be something you wish you had more time for or more of, that there is no perfect death. She just hopes it's de repente y fatal (sudden and fatal). Guess I gotta respect that.

After dinner, we went to Rapanui with Cassie and her host mom, Cristina, (who is Clarisa's best friend) because we'd been planning to do so and it worked out tonight. It was sooooo fun and of course so delicious. And Clarisa and Cristina were very kind to treat us to the ice cream. When Clarisa asked me what size I wanted I said the smallest one and she said "vamoOoOoOos" so then I upgraded 3 sizes.

I fell off my chair 3 times - it was the chair's fault, not mine - and Cristina called me a "baby horse." Well actually, a "baby house" because her English isn't the best lol and then Clarisa corrected her. Supposedly she meant I was clumsy but I thought it was because I was eating that ice cream like a freaking baby horse hahaha.

We were laughing the entire time and it was a great way to end a great day. I figured out some insurance thing with my mom, finished my book, recycled some papers, my oral defense went well, my workout went well, I lucked out that my flight wasn't cancelled, and I enjoyed ice cream with friends. Not much more I could ask for!
