And my 2 month (spring and) winter break begins now!!

Celebrating freedom HahHaAHAahaHAHaHa

Today started at 12:00am, as all days do, in a very curious way. Cassie and I had gone to the ice cream shop on the corner of my block to hang out with our pals / owners of the store around 11:15pm. We told them we really shouldn't eat any ice cream but they told us they'd just give us the smallest size... well they overstuffed it and it was massive!! Still ate it though of course. Turns out tramontana is a bomb flavor.

As we were walking home after, we noticed my host mom talking to someone right in front of the house. We couldn't tell if it was an intimate moment or not and didn't want to interrupt it if so lol so we ran across the street and turned the corner so that we were out of sight. We ended up having to wait so long that we just went to Cassie's apartment and hung there for a bit. When the coast was clear, I headed home.

In the second photo above, you can see that Cassie titled her paper: "I hate men."

Unfortunately it was so late at this point that my presentation was still very much unfinished, but I didn't have time to care. I went to bed and woke up early (?) at 9:30am to work on it. I was under pressure so I worked fast and cranked it out fairly quickly. After eating breakfast, I went to pick up my laundry and then put it all away in my drawers like a responsible human being when I returned.

From then until 2:15pm when I left for class, I practiced my presentation over and over and found a way to cut out 2 minutes to make it shorter. Then I hopped on the subte and went to class. Turns out we were presenting in the order in which we arrived and I happened to arrive 8th out of 11... not ideal whatsoever but it 'twas what it 'twas.

The presentation went very well and my semester essentially concluded after that! We had to do brief 2-3 minute "interviews" with the professors grading us but that was super chill. My class planned to all go to the park after and hang out but that fell through, so I ran 4 miles instead when I got home. I love to start my runs 20 minutes before the sunset because it's still light out but I can see the sky change colors. Plus it's not too hot out then.

When I got home, I stretched and worked out and the shower was broken so that was gross but we fixed it later so I am #clean now. Dinner was sooo tasty - rice, chicken, and green onions with some kind of nice drizzle up in there, plus some sweet potato slices. Clarisa and I had a rather entertaining conversation so I enjoyed that. She insisted that I eat a banana with dulce de leche for dessert and what was I gonna do? Say no?

After dinner, I headed to Cassie's to listen to her practice her speech and so that we could figure out some more details for our trip to Chile. Well... we weren't very productive with either of those plans but it was fun!

I listened to her practice it a few times and we figured out that getting to the airport is actually kind of expensive so that sucks but whatever, such is la vida.

I left around midnight and that was kind of ironic because I started my day in an elevator with Cassie and ended my day in an elevator with Cassie. Life really does come full circle, huh?

Now that I have no more classes I guess I can stay up however late I want and not set an alarm for the morning. Just kidding that seems unhealthy but I probably won't set an alarm anyway #rebel #risky #thedogswillwakemeupearlyanyway

Peace and amor to you all.

Song Recommendation of the Day: "Wasted" by Gucci Mane ft. Plies

P.S. - I found a spider in my bed today. Luckily the maid came today and changed my sheets. Not sure where I would've slept otherwise.

P.P.S. - When Cassie and I were running the other day, some random guy who passed us yelled out, "Mellizas?? O hermanas??" Which means, "Twins?? Or sisters??" Friends, baby.

P.P.P.S. - When Cassie and I were walking the other night, some man passed us and said, "Preciosas." He's an F-in creep and we didn't appreciate that at all. I yelled out, "GROSERO!"
