November 11, 2018: Reading sources and running through puddles

My day was not filled with much variety but it was a good day!

I woke up around 10:30am and decided to go on a walk before breakfast. The forecast predicted rain all day so I wanted to take advantage of the cloudy but dry morning before the storm. I walked through my neighborhood for about 20 minutes and then came home and ate breakfast.
I devoted my day to seriously working on my final essay, since I've been super lazy about it, and so I began to read sources for it after breakfast. I left my phone up in my room while I worked downstairs and that was a good call because I got a lot done!
At 12:30pm, I walked to COTO to get groceries for lunch. I noticed after I left that I wasn't given the discount I am always given. I felt so upset - not because of the money, but because I thought I was taken advantage of for being foreign.
I decided to walk back there with Cassie and ask them to clarify the discounts. It turns out I should receive a discount for paying with a debit card, but the machines read my card as a credit card because its foreign. Kind of a rip off but at least now I know I was not purposely taken advantage of. Only shopping on Fridays from now on cuz that's when I do get the discount!!
Cassie and I started our run from the store and ran 4 miles. The paths we normally run on were either flooded or super soaked and mushy so we were slippin' and slidin' but we got it done. I worked out and showered when I got back and then heated up a slice of that amazing leftover pizza.

The Boca vs. River soccer game started at 4:00pm (HUGE rivalry... look it up) and I put that on the TV as I continued reading sources. The games are amazing because you literally hear the entire neighborhood scream and go crazy when someone scores a goal. It ended up being a 2-2 tie but the second game is in a few days.
I ate some crackers with various spreads (lol) on them and then ate my second piece of pizza around 6:00pm. I finally finished reading my sources around 8:30pm and I feel like I have enough to write my paper now. Cassie and I went for a walk at 8:30pm and sadly found no free food, but it was a nice night out. It actually didn't end up raining at all today!

When I got back from the walk, Clarisa set out my dinner and I ate while we conversed. I'm going to try to write a bit more of my essay but I'm sort of exhausted from reading all day so I'm not sure how far I'll get. Overall glad I had a very productive day but it was rather boring... oh well. Classes will be over in 3 days!!
Sweet dreams, babies.
