November 1, 2018: Fun comedy show and the best waffle of my life!

You may remember that another one of my posts was about the best waffle of my life... you may also not remember. You probably don't. Well that is irrelevant now because a new waffle has been crowned champion.

She is beauty, she is grace, she is Miss Waffle States.

Do the first 15 hours of the day ever just go by and you wonder what the heck you were doing cuz you know sure as heck you weren't being productive in any way, shape, or form? That was today. Well, I spent the first 4 hours of my day in the bar / club, so that would explain where those 4 hours went... I was so daring I didn't even set an alarm to get up. But never fear. The neighbor's dogs were so worried I would oversleep that they kindly and willingly woke me at 9:00am by barking for 10 minutes straight! How thoughtful.

**For those of you who think I'm exaggerating about these dogs, Cassie lives around the corner, halfway down the block, and across the street from me on the 7th floor and SHE hears the dogs in the morning.**

I ate breakfast, kind of sort of worked on my essay, and really just let the day slip away. I was so unmotivated to work on this essay... I facetimed Garnet around 1:30pm and that was nice! We have a common... enemy... and it's great to go off about this enemy with her. Truly a great bonding topic.

I picked up my laundry around 2:30pm and when I came home, I journaled. I am very stressed about the amount of schoolwork I suddenly have and I needed to write it out, so that helped. The problem is that I haven't truly felt any sort of pressure or time crunch to get schoolwork done this semester but now I'm feeling it. Julie and I are meeting up tomorrow to work on our essay so hopefully we get a good chunk done.

I lifted in my room after the facetime and then made myself lunch around 4:30pm - lentils, chickpeas, and tomatoes - and it was slightly less lacking in flavor than just lentils! Who would've thought?! Then at 5:30pm Cassie and I went on a run. It was kinda cold out but perfect running weather!

After the run, I showered and did a minuscule amount of work on my essay. I ate a super early dinner at 7:45pm because Cassie and I had to leave to go to a comedy show at 8:30pm!

The comedy place was sooooo cool. The front was just a very narrow door (my grandpa would NOT have fit through it) but the inside had a bunch of different rooms and a ton of cool paintings and lighting all throughout it. It turns out our tickets included a drink so cheerz to that.

The show featured 3 stand-up comedians and a host who also did multiple little performances. They were all so funny! I really enjoyed it. It was an event in English and designed for an English-speaking audience so most people who attended were not from Argentina. Two of the comedians were from the US, and the host and other comedian were Argentine.

After the show, Cassie and I walked to her house to try to figure out travel plans to go to Chile. We're not sure if we're gonna be able to, but we're trying!

Then we decided we couldn't sleep if we didn't go to La Panera Rosa and eat one of their incredible waffles. And ooh baby we were not disappointed. We got the Apple Crumble waffle and it was insane. Little cinnamon apple chunks, cinnamon streusel, condensed milk or something like that, ice cream, whipped cream.... you saw the photo above. I'll put it here again for your viewing pleasure.

Truly incredible. Goodnight, friends.

P.S. - I forgot to mention that yesterday in class, the kid who sits next to me said "swag" and I said, "I always say swag!" and he says, "It seems like a you word." What an honor. What a compliment. I am swag, swag is me.
