You could say my host mom is a little more cultured today than she was yesterday.

It's 11:37pm and I have two articles to write due at 9:00am tomorrow so that's really awesome and I love that.

Today was interesting. I had to watch a miniserie (mini-series) and write a crítica (review) of it for my journalism class so I spent literally 5 hours watching the series today. I had class at 4:00pm, but that just meant meeting my teacher in a bar since the professors are technically still on strike. He informed us that the final paper has to be 20-25 pages long, which means 20 pages to me. That kind of sucks but Julie and I get to write it together and if we write 7 pages a month we're gucci.

I finished watching the series when I got home and started to write the article. Two men from some company came to our house to investigate the "vibraciones" my host mom feels, and one of her co-workers, Pablo, also came to serve as her testigo (witness). The men told my host mom that the sound is too quiet that they can't do anything about it so my host mom said she's selling the house... I'm just sitting here like what is going on.

Anyway, her friend Pablo was very nice and he joined us for dinner. He's 28 which means he is young, hip, and cultured and is my new Buenos Aires tour guide heh swag. During dinner, we somehow got to teaching one another all of our favorite swear words in English and Spanish. My host mom kept saying "f*ck you" because she learned that phrase somewhere previously, but I kept telling her that it's a pretty strong insult. I tried to teach her just to say "f*ck" since "f*ck you" is only used when it's directed to people. She didn't really get that so she just sat there and said "f*ck you" probably 8 times in a row no joke. I guess what I'm saying is don't mess with her.

So dinner lasted from 9:45pm to 11:30pm which was pretty inconvenient considering I have so much homework to do but clearly my priorities aren't straight anyway cuz I'm typing this and not typing my 2 articles... oh well.

Goodnight and please pray for me that I get these assignments done and that future me does not procrastinate so much. Gracias.
