I feel like I did nothing today... but I kind of needed to.

I woke early, ate a fast and not at all satiating breakfast because my host mom forgot that my breakfast food ran out :(, and hopped on the subway to go to my kinesiology appointment. ^^Here is a cool mural from the subway station. The appointment was probably my favorite part of my day because I had another interesting conversation with Juan and because he told me I could run today! I came home directly after and that was the most empty I've ever seen the subway. For the first time ever, there was more

than one open seat. I got home and napped because I'm still sleep deprived from not sleeping much the previous 2 nights. When I woke up, I walked half a mile to drop off my laundry and then I went to the supermarket and bought what I will be eating for lunch for the next week or so. I thought there was a discount today (the store's website said there was) but there wasn't so that kind of sucked. It's fine though because I bought everything you'll see in the photo below for $4.50. I also treated myself to 2 facturas because I walked past the storefront and couldn't not treat myself. So I came home and made myself pasta and ate lunch / dessert. Actually I ate dessert first.

I don't really know how to grocery shop or how to be an adult but I figure I can make scrambled eggs with onions + broccoli, and that I can steam broccoli and eat it with my pasta. We'll see how that goes when I actually try. Here are some close-ups of my dessert. I put them in the microwave for 30 seconds and THAT was an adult decision.
After eating, I went on my run which was limited to 1 kilómetro, bookended by 2 kilómetros of walking. The great news is that it didn't hurt! After showering, I tried to do homework but I was too tired so I napped again. I fell asleep but woke up to the sound of my host mom GRITANDO (SCREAMING) and couldn't fall back asleep. She's furious because she hears a low vibrating sound all day in the house and because of it she can't sleep and in her words, "está destruyendo mi vida." I wish I could help her but I don't hear anything. She says she perceives it because she has incredible hearing but she watches the TV so loud I don't know what to think! She demanded that the managers of the building that produces the sound come to our house and so they did and they all said something along the lines of, "I'm sorry ma'am I don't hear anything."
After they left, we ate dinner. She ordered chicken and french fries from a restaurant and it was my most American-tasting meal so far. I washed my dishes, worked out, and just finished talking to Mel on the phone!
I'm just dissatisfied because I didn't expect to be so unproductive today and to have to deal with my host mom's frustrations... she was worked up to tears about the issue. I feel so bad, I hope it's resolved for her and my sake. I want to have a productive and happy day tomorrow so here is a list of positive takeaways from today:
-started the day with a great kinesiology appointment / good conversation with Juan
-the subway started charging me 10 pesos instead of 12.50 and I have no idea why but thank you subway
-I #treatedmyself and I don't regret it at all, those facturas were fugging incredible
-I bought inexpensive groceries and now I can easily make lunch for myself all next week
-I ran and it didn't hurt!!!
-I got a lot of tedious errands done today so I can relax all day tomorrow
-After 3 days packed with activities and errands, I kind of needed to do nothing today so I shouldn't beat myself up about not doing much
-I'm alive and healthy and that's something to not take for granted
