It has officially been un mes since I left my home! 30 days ago at this exact hour I was actually boarding the plane from Miami to Buenos Aires. Wild.

Today was an interesting and exciting day. I tried to do a reading for my social politics class and I technically finished it but wow I did not understand any of that. Wouldn't have understood it in English either... it talked about "merchandise labor force" and "secondary income" as if I know what that means. I took a ~sufficient~ break from reading to get some lunch, which would also be my dinner. 3 empanadas (2 de pollo y 1 de albahaca + queso) (2 of chicken and 1 of basil + cheese), and a bowl of ravioli. I ate my lunch and suffered through more of my reading and eventually left the house to walk to where I was going to watch a free soccer game. I signed up for the event through Study Buenos Aires and they have tons of free events which is dope. I met a girl from California at the event and she lives in my barrio so we'll probably hang out soon! Walking to the event was amazing because it was 73 -- 73!!!!!!!!! -- degrees outside and because I walked through the barrio of Caballito and there were lots of cool sights and shops I hadn't seen before. However, shortly after arriving a storm rolled in and it dropped to 48 degrees and I, of course, was still wearing shorts (((((( :

So my friends and I suffered through 27 minutes of the soccer game, which was cool but it was freezing and it was pouring rain and the stadium doesn't allow paraguas (umbrellas) so it was time to go when I couldn't feel my legs anymore. My friend and I took the colectivo 109 home and I took the warmest shower known to man when I was home. I ate the rest of my lunch for dinner, plus an orange and a bowl of pasta I made a bit later, and FINALLY finished my wretched reading. **Did you know you can cook pasta in the microwave and it's super easy and really fast?? See below.** Good times. I'm looking forward to tomorrow because I don't have much work to do and I'm going to try to meet up with my Argentine friend.

Another amazing note from today is that my friend Carly told me she's planning a trip throughout South America in November / December and it is very likely that she will visit me and that we could travel to Patagonia together! I was really excited to hear that. So now I am sitting in the living room with my host mama typing this and also painting my nails and it's a nice way to end the night. We were going to watch a movie together but she started it without me and I didn't feel like trying to figure out what was going on lol. OMG SHE JUST FELL ASLEEP. Hahahah I heard a snore and looked over and she's cashed. She watches TV so loud I don't know how she fell asleep. Oh well. Goodnight mum. I have no idea what movie this is but the first time I looked up to see what was on the screen I saw a naked man, and not an attractive one I might add, and that was enough for me. Goodnight readers, goodnight moon, and a very good night to Laura who is already passed out.

P.S. - I think it's hilarious that in the image above, the horn is saying "oink oink!" and not "honk honk!" This is a bike shop I passed on my walk to the soccer game.

P.P.S. - Here's a cool line I read (and actually understood) in my reading: "Lo que fue puede no volver a ser."

P.P.P.S. - I forgot to mention this earlier but I start off every day by making my bed and I have done so ever since watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6OoCaGsz94
