After sleeping on some lingering issues from yesterday, I realized that I was being way too negative, pessimistic, and worked up over minor bumps in the road. By the way, it took me 5 tries to capture that beautiful moment below.

My day started (at midnight) with a series of thrilling snapchats to and from Emma Pettit, which put me in a good mood and made me excited to be with her again... albeit not for another handful of months. I slept poorly but that's okay, because when I woke up, I had the best breakfast I've had so far. I did the most innovative thing I've ever done in my life and put dulce de leche in the microwave, melted it, and dipped a banana in it. Wow. Rachel Ray who?? I then began working on some homework and my host mom came home shortly after. We caught up a little bit and she was so sweet to me and she would rest her hand on my leg while we were chatting and reassure me that she just wants the best for me. **See "random" section of this blog to read more about the realization I had in that moment.** After our talk, we ate lunch together, which we normally don't do because the host families are supposed to provide breakfast and dinner only. We switched it up today so I'll be making my own dinner tonight.

We ate the classic pollo milanesa con huevo frito y ensalada. Today she had avocado for us to eat too! After lunch, I walked to the park by my house to meet a friend and do some work outside cuz it was 64 degrees and sunny today!! Sadly I never met up with my friend cuz he took the wrong bus and got lost. Lol this is why I walk everywhere with my little handheld map of Buenos Aires. While at the park, I finished an entire subject of homework and journaled a little bit. All my thoughts aren't online, can you believe that!? I was soooo excited to go to the grocery store after the park but was confused as frick when I got there. The prices and labels were so confusing

that I ended up just settling for a big bag of uncooked pasta and a bag of tomato sauce. Since I couldn't really tell how much it was going to cost, I was a little worried but WOW the total cost was $1.82 and it's going to last me for 3 meals so booyah baybeeeee. I walked home, talked to my host mom a bit, and now here I am at 6:25pm. I'm going to read a little bit more for class, workout, figure out how to cook pasta in the microwave lol, and then two of my friends are coming over to watch a movie! Overall, it has been (and will continue to be) a relaxing, productive, and happy day.
