What a day.

Today was yet another great and ~sunny~ day. I woke up to an email from my FAVORITE high school teacher who essentially shaped me into the writer that I am. Don't use this blog as a judgment of my writing though... this ain't profesional. Her and I both love a line written by Ralph Waldo Emerson: We come to wear one cut of face and figure, and acquire by degrees the gentlest asinine expression. If you know what it means, I hope it doesn't apply to you. I enjoyed my day today because it was filled with nice little things, like hearing from her for example, all throughout the day. I went to the store and dropped big bucks on 2 pairs of pants, but considering I only shop at thrift shops and say no to anything above $5.00, I think I earned this one. And boi do these pants SLAP! (Something "slaps" if it's really good... for those who are not with the lingo.) Sadly when I got home I showed my host mom and she goes, "Son rotos!!" (They're broken!!) Haha they were jeans with holes in them as part of the design. Anyway, after the completing the purchase of my life, I went to class, which was very relaxed as it was the first day. We get a 15-30 minute recreo (break) in the middle, and all 10 students in my class went to buy ice cream! On Wednesdays, the heladería has a 2 for 1 deal so a MASSIVE cone of ice cream costs about $1.42 in US dollars. Class got out early and I took the subte home. I facetimed my dad (who informed me that he didn't read my last blog post ok thanks dad) and he tried to explain inflation / the economy to me which was a lot of me nodding my head and saying, "Okay I think I understand."

Afterwards, my host mom tried to get me to dance salsa, which consisted of her going HAM dancing salsa and me saying, "No no... please no... no no no." Oy la vergüenza. This somehow led to me showing her videos of my high school's incredibly talented dance team. While watching the video, my host mom kept saying, "Ahhh mierda!" Which is hilarious. We're about to eat pasta for dinner and then I'm going to do some homework and work out. It's the weekend for me already so salud (cheers) homies.
**WAIT: I also finally washed my water bottle today (I can already see my mom saying, "Oh god, it's about time") and hopefully won't be drinking anymore possibly moldy water haaaaa
