Please enjoy this photo of my donut, Blaire, and a Spanishdict.com translation.

Today has been a great day and a productive day... and it's only 4:36pm! I woke up at 10:00am and the first thing I did was go for a 30 minute walk around my barrio. I walked around the perimeter of Parque Centenario where the Sunday feria (fair) was going on and the sun was out for the first time in a few days. Today reached 62 degrees which was baller. When I got home, I ate a thicc breakfast: crackers with cream cheese + chia powder / peach jam / dulce de leche, a handful of sweet cookie cracker things, a glass of milk, a glass of yogurt (because yogurt here is runny like Danimals), one lemon wafer stick, and half a banana cut into slices with dulce de leche on each slice. Yuh baby. **Note: they sell milk and yogurt here (among other things) in bags... they don't come in solid plastic containers... interesting.** After breakfast, I got back in bed and did some homework for an hour. Then I worked out, which was a modified version of my normal lift at school, and showered. Letting you know I showered cuz I'm proud of that. I did a little more homework after and then went on a brief walk with my host mom and her friend to the super market. There I purchased lunch, which was the donut in the picture above as well as pollo milanesa (Milanese chicken). On my walk back home, a group of little girls ran after me and swarmed me asking if I want to purchase their pulseras (bracelets). No thanks guys. When I got home, I obviously ate my donut first and I facetimed Blaire while doing so. Since then I've been eating my chicken, typing on here, and doing some general organizing. After posting this, I plan to walk to the park and use some of the equipment there to do parts of my workout that I couldn't do at home. Tonight I need to write an article for a class and I need to watch the Teen Choice Awards for that same class. My host mom said she's making me torta for dinner so that's swag sauce. Oh, also, somebody broke into the car that was parked directly in front of my house last night.

Here is an image I took of the car mirror that was clearly smashed out of place for the robbery. I didn't hear the glass shatter so at least I was getting some deep sleep?? This speaks to the safety of my neighborhood I guess. I feel totally safe during the day but definitely can't be out alone (or even in a small group) at night. WAIT HAHA my host mom just put on "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and told me she has no idea what the words are but she likes the melody. I told her it's not my song of choice. Now she's playing Aerosmith hahaha. I go, "Do you know what he's singing about??" and she goes, "No tengo idea!" Classic Laura.
